My Baby Must-Haves!

I'm definitely one of those mommies that talk constantly about their baby, taking pictures of everything they do etc, but what can I say, being a parent is AWESOME :)

So my husband and I have learned many things thus far, good and bad.. and believe me, we're still learning. You pick up on their cries; if they're tired, hungry, need a change, how he wants to be rocked, picked up etc.. and these are things that we did not know when he was born. You also learn what he likes and don't like. You also learn what you like, and what doesn't really work for you. Here is a list of my baby must-haves:

Baby Jayden Yang!

Today is my due date! September 9, 2012...
But he is already here! :) 

Jayden was born about a week and a half early at 38 weeks and 4 days. Today I've just been emotional, I think it's because he was due to be born today... my mind keeps thinking back and I'm reliving the whole pregnancy over again, and just can't believe that he's actually here already. Oh how I love him so much! Last night I just held him and cried :)

Maternity shoot

We had a maternity photo session with my sister-in-law this weekend. It was really hot and humid outside! It started out rainy in the day, then mr. sun decided to come out and play. I love the pictures, despite how huge I look. 

The comfort of Maternity Pants

I just invested in a pair of maternity pants; my first pair! My belly is getting bigger so my regular pants are snug. Heck I've been trotting around in sweats and leggings. 
I had no idea that they actually looked like this.. and not really sure how it's properly worn. Do you fold the spandex part down or unfold it over your belly? I'm sure I would find the answer online if I just did a quick search but... I simply just don't want to. I just want to sit here and blog about it, maybe someone will respond with an answer below. There may not even be a 'correct' way to wear them. However way it's worn, no one will see! The spandex part of the pant is underneath the shirt. They are super comfortable, and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between them and regular pants. At this time, the only difference is comfort :)

Baby Doppler Update

So I was finally able to record the baby's heartbeat with the Sonoline B Doppler, by myself! 

This is at 16 weeks. It was a little hard to locate because the baby moves away after a while. I'm guess it doesn't like the pressure I was put on it. (I'm saying "it" because we don't know if it's a boy or girl yet)

Yes! I ordered a Fetal Doppler came in today! It's so awesome. I waited for my husband to get home so we can test it out together.
We've heard the baby's heartbeat a couple weeks ago at our last doctor appointment but it is exciting to hear again.
With this doppler, we were able to hear the heartbeat twice. The second time I told Shuavij to grab my phone and record it so I can put up a video but he didn't get it in time. The baby kept moving and it was a little hard to locate again. We'll try again tomorrow :)

iPhone 4S

So after complications with our cellphone carrier, my husband and I decided to switch to another carrier. We had to pay a cancellation fee but it was definitely worth it. We have much better phones and a much much better deal! We have the unlimited everything plan, and 1500 minutes which are only applied to landline phones, and we don't know many people nowadays that still use landline phones. We also get a 20% discount through Shuavij's employer too ^__^

Tis' the season to be jolly! :)

So my husband kind of spoiled me this year. Lol

He bought me UGG boots for Xmas! I've been wanting a pair for a while too.


They are so soft and warm, but from what I've heard, they aren't waterproof. My best friend has a pair and she said that if you step into a puddle of water or snow, it will soak right through.
BUT I am not willing to test that theory, I still treasure these babies :)

O Christmas Tree O' Christmas treeee!

I'm not that creative so my tree doesn't look the best, and trust me I'm one of the pickiest people I know, but I finally got it to the point of satisfaction. What do you think?

Wow, I had a great time at my bachelorette party last night!
I did not wear the dress that I posted earlier, I ended up getting a two piece outfit; a pink skirt and a white tank.

My 24th Birthday

I just turned 24 yesterday. I'm never really that excited for my birthday, but when that day actually comes, I feel extra special =)
I went out for dinner at The Cheesecake Factory with my husband, my brother and a few friends. The Cheesecake Factory has a wide selection of food of different ethnicity, and of course their cheesecakes, YUMMAYYYY! =D

Ah it's here, and it's so BEAUTIFUL!

Finally my Verragio ring has come!
He proposed to me about a month and a half ago, but I've been wearing my diamond on a temporary mount because he wanted us to pick out the ring together, and we chose a ring made by Verragio. But the wait is finally over. After weeks of waiting, we just picked it up from the jewelry store.. so BEAUTIFUL! =)
Verragio has a wide selection of BEAUTIFUL rings! If I could, I want them all =D

Here is our story from our wedding website:

Shuavij and Terri met June 23, 2001 at Whitewater State Park.

Shuavij was on a family camping/fishing trip. Terri was attending an annual church picnic. The two crossed paths (literally) late that day when Shuavij was walking to his camp site and Terri was returning from a hike with her youth. He told her she was "cute", they exchanged phone numbers, and became good friends.

After four years, they decided to take their friendship to another level.

They dated for almost six years before Shuavij decided to pop the question.

The Proposal

Terri was out of town for work and wasn't going to return for two weeks. It was the perfect time for Shuavij to go ring shopping. The night she returned, he picked her up from the airport and made her dinner. While she was eating dinner, he got on his knees and proposed.

He proposed with a Verragio ring from the Couture collection. 

Vegas Baby!

I'm in Vegas baby! =)

I've been in Vegas for a few days now and it's been a lot of fun. Walking on the strip is exhausting! It's so beautiful here at night, here's a preview from last night =)

I also went shopping at Ross and got this nice eye palette for $3.99! The colors are bright and very pigmented.

UPDATE UPDATE !

I'm been so busy that I haven't been posting entries in awhile. I've been pulling a lot of over-time hours at work, and it's made me very tired so I've been laying off the computer. Here is an update.

I'M GOING TO NORTH CAROLINA!

Yes, I'm going to NC March 31st - April 14th for work. I just realized that I will be in NC when my Giveaway ends (April 8th), so PLEASE PLEASE be patient if I don't get to it right away. I will try and announce the winner, when I'm not busy, but I will not be able to send out the package until I get back, which is only a week later. So excited, I've never been to NC before!

O' mother of pearl, I have a Sweeeet Tooth! ^^

I have always had a sweet tooth. Love SWEETS.
Too bad I'm still sick. Can you believe it?! It's been a little over a week now! I'm trying really hard to stay off the sweets because my throat hurts, and my boyfriend isn't doing a good job restricting me either. Anyways, today I bought this cute cupcake maker from Target for $34. I've been seeing a few here and there, but this one was up for snag because it was on sale. I did get a chance to test it out, but being sick, I didn't eat any of the finished cupcakes. Shuavij doesn't have a sweet tooth but he actually enjoyed one of them.
Now cross fingers that I get well soon so I can devour and go into a cupcake coma! ;)

Chantal or Emily?!!

I just finished tonight's episode of The Bachelor, and boy, I'm really into this show. It's getting intense because he's proposing to one of them next week and I'm dying to know who! Lol.
From the beginning of the show, there was something about Emily Maynard that made a lasting impression on me; I like her. (She is the blonde from North Carolina) And there is Chantal, (the brunette) who I see as tough. For one, she slapped Brad in the first episode after getting out of the limo. By all means, he deserved it. She is also very open. If I recall correctly, she was the first person to say drop the three words "I love you". 
Brad said that both women had the qualities he was looking for. He hit it off early with Chantal and said that she's "game" for anything and he can be himself around her. But Emily, .. she was the first and only girl that Brad said he was falling in love with!
I think both women are great. My heart will break for the one he doesn't propose to.

The amazing Chris Tomlin

I had an AMAZING time at the Chris Tomlin concert tonight!

His songs are very empowering; he writes some of the most powerful songs I've ever heard. My boyfriend and I had the opportunity to go see him in concert while he was in Minnesota.  Louie Giglio was also there, delivering a powerful message. 
We were so moved by his music. Our spirits were lifted. Such a beautiful concert. Thank you Chris.

A long week is finally over!

It's been such a long week, especially with working over-time. TGIF! That being said, my co-worker Susan and I went to Target. Who doesn't love Target?!
