Big Day is O V E R!

The big day is finally over! We had a blast at the wedding! There were some things we had to change around at the last minute but with the help of family and friends, we were able to pull it all together. It was definitely a success! We are still waiting for our pictures, but in the meantime, here are a few that friends and family took :)

Wow, I had a great time at my bachelorette party last night!
I did not wear the dress that I posted earlier, I ended up getting a two piece outfit; a pink skirt and a white tank.

Cake Tasting

It's coming by so fast, I'm nervoussssss!

We did cake tasting a couple weeks ago, and I just finalized the order. We're getting a square three-layer tiered cake. We tried different flavors, and decided on Chocolate cake with Chocolate Ganache filling. It was delicious, and we know that not everyone likes Chocolate and I gotta say, those people are crazy! Considering I'm a Chocoholic, lol :) We also ordered a full sheet cake in White just in case. I gotta say, Fondant makes pretty decor but it doesn't taste good at all. It's chewy lol. We decided not to go with it, and did a Buttercream based icing instead. 

Wedding cake is EXPENSIVE!!! Not the cake I ordered but the cake I wanted was going to cost me $650+ just because of the specific decoration I wanted. Crazy huh? I was like, Are you serious?!" But the decoration looks so simple and easy.." But again, who am I to question the work of a professional. Oh well.

BRIDEZILLLAAAAA!

Arghhhh!
I'm turning into a bridezilla!!!
So Shuavij and I are doing this whole wedding ourselves. We are planning and paying for everything, and a certain someone who shall stay anonymous is ruining everything. It's exactly 19 days away!!
Another thing, we sent out invitations about a month ago, and about half of the people rsvp'd. 
We sent mail invitations to family members and older folks. Then for everyone else, we created a wedding event on facebook and invited every one of our friends because we all are regulars users. C'mon, it is more convenient for everyone because we use facebook EVERYDAY!
A lot of people say this is the worse part about planning a wedding, or event of any kind, because some people don't rsvp but they show up with 10 people.
Now tell me that is not annoying. If we take the time to send you a frickin' invitation, take the time to respond. I see you on Facebook everyday, always updating your status, commenting on others', attending other events, but you can't respond to ours? And, the airmail invites are self-stamped, C'mon people.
So this week, Shuavij and I are going in to talk to our wedding coordinator and giving her a final head count. Too bad for those who haven't rsvp'd.
Maybe I'm over reacting, but hey, I'm a perfectionist, I like things perfect.. especially on my frickin' wedding day! What girl doesn't?

Bridal Shower

Ah so sorry been mia for a while! I recently started this job, and I'm doing the 3rd shift! It sucks, I go to work, come home, knock out for the day, wake up and i'm back at work. It's kind of sad to realize, "Hey, I'm going to work tonight.." and when your off your shift, it is morning already so it's "Hey, I got to work tonight". Not the normal, "Hey, I work tomorrow." Oh-gee. And the worse part, I don't get to see Shuavij at all!!! When I come home in the morning, he already left for work, when he gets home around 5:30PM, I'm just getting up (since I sleep during the day), we spend 4 hours together (max) and I have to go to work. We don't even get to spend the night together.. or at least 5 days of the week. I don't work Friday or Saturday so we get 2 days together. I guess it will do for now, I think this job is only temporary.
Anyways! Totally off topic. This past Saturday, my little sister along with my aunt and cousins hosted a Bridal Shower for me :) Hadn't have so much fun in a while.

In search of the perfect Veil

Yes I know I have wedding fever! (thankful I'm not bridezilla lol)
I had taken in my wedding dress for alteration this past weekend and it is expensive! It was pricier than I had thought. On the same day, I tried on a whole bunch of veils, from different styles to different lengths, hair clips and feathers. You have to get a veil that compliments your wedding dress, and your hair on that day too. Oh and btw, I happened to see a beautiful Vera Wang dress I absolutely loved! But man, I was in there for an alteration on my wedding dress already, how wrong it would of been if I bought a new dress, or even tried it on!


So anyways, with the help of my maid of honor, and the nice lady who did my alteration, I did find a veil I like :) I had my dress on so I was able to see which looked good and which ones didn't. I didn't know what they were called but apparently it is "Birdcage Veil". I would of said something like "fishnet veil" lol

I know it should cover my head but I couldn't clip it in correctly, hopefully my hair stylish will get it right  on my wedding day! :)

I like this one, especially with the rhinestones on it. Most comes with the flower/feather clip attached to the veil, but I want mine to be separate so I can take the veil off after the ceremony but leave the clip in during my reception. I tried it on with some flower and feather clips, but I didn't see one I really liked, so I'm going to search elsewhere for that.

Wedding Invitations

Finally settling into the new place. I had to get going on our wedding invitations, of course I'm not really complaining, I enjoy this kind of stuff. Yesterday Shuavij was laughing at me because I chose to type our guest list on the computer even though it was handwritten on paper already. lol, like I said, I enjoy this kind of stuff :) Our wedding is in two months! Every time I think about it, makes me nervous, and excited all at the same time! :D

Ah it's here, and it's so BEAUTIFUL!

Finally my Verragio ring has come!
He proposed to me about a month and a half ago, but I've been wearing my diamond on a temporary mount because he wanted us to pick out the ring together, and we chose a ring made by Verragio. But the wait is finally over. After weeks of waiting, we just picked it up from the jewelry store.. so BEAUTIFUL! =)
Verragio has a wide selection of BEAUTIFUL rings! If I could, I want them all =D

Here is our story from our wedding website:

Shuavij and Terri met June 23, 2001 at Whitewater State Park.

Shuavij was on a family camping/fishing trip. Terri was attending an annual church picnic. The two crossed paths (literally) late that day when Shuavij was walking to his camp site and Terri was returning from a hike with her youth. He told her she was "cute", they exchanged phone numbers, and became good friends.

After four years, they decided to take their friendship to another level.

They dated for almost six years before Shuavij decided to pop the question.

The Proposal

Terri was out of town for work and wasn't going to return for two weeks. It was the perfect time for Shuavij to go ring shopping. The night she returned, he picked her up from the airport and made her dinner. While she was eating dinner, he got on his knees and proposed.

He proposed with a Verragio ring from the Couture collection.
